Konecta Colombia celebrates a decade of social impact and growth in Montería

What began as a strategic commitment to the talent of Córdoba has become the engine for more than 1,600 life stories and transformation in the region.

A decade of dreams and opportunities

Ten years ago, Konecta planted a seed in Montería, driven by the conviction that local talent was the key to regional development. Today, that dream is stronger than ever, marking a decade of growth, inclusion, and commitment to the community.

"It is an honor to be here in Montería, celebrating these 10 years of a history born with a very clear purpose: to open opportunities where they had traditionally been scarce. It is gratifying to witness projects like this, where passion is the driving force for generating dignified jobs with social impact and development in the most vulnerable communities. Thanks to this project, over 1,600 people have formal employment. And these are not just numbers; these are lives: mothers, fathers, and young people who have had their first opportunity. Today, I can confidently say that this investment was absolutely the right one.”

Nourdine Bihmane, Konecta CEO

Konecta’s operation in Montería is a vibrant engine that energizes the city and transforms the region through job creation. "Seeing how our operations grow and how our people thrive is the best evidence that when we unite with purpose, we can transform realities. It is about building a replicable model with strategic partners. This vision is what drives us to continue expanding our sustainable social impact," commented Óscar Velásquez, Country Manager of Konecta Colombia.

This story is proof of what happens when willpower and purpose unite. The project was solidified by the vision and commitment of the entities that have worked for the past 10 years to ensure its growth.

This journey has not been solitary. Since day one, the alliance with Bancolombia has been fundamental, sowing the seeds of the future and betting on the region's talent. The project originated from a clear need: to employ locally trained call center technicians. It was this conviction, that talent exists throughout the country, that led Bancolombia to make a long-term commitment. Today, the project is the clearest example of how "uniting efforts" can transform realities, generating opportunities for people who lost everything due to violence and live in difficult conditions.
