Konecta Argentina joins UNICEF's “Un Sol para los Chicos" telethon for the fourth consecutive year

Konecta participated for the fourth consecutive year in the 34th edition of Un Sol para los Chicos, UNICEF Argentina's annual charity telethon dedicated to improving the lives of children and adolescents across the country and around the world. Broadcast live on Saturday, August 9, via eltrece and eltrecetv.com.ar, the event brought together artists, the private sector, organizations, and thousands of Argentines united by a common goal: promoting lasting change in support of children's rights.

For over three decades, Un Sol para los Chicos has stood as a national symbol of solidarity, raising funds for UNICEF programs focused on education, healthcare, and child protection. Konecta once again joined forces with UNICEF Argentina to contribute to the success of the 2025 edition.

Volunteering behind the scenes

Since 2022, dozens of volunteers from the Konecta offices in Buenos Aires have participated in the initiative, while this year in 2025 the event was carried out by volunteers from the Córdoba offices. These dedicated team members donated their time to manage the phone donation channels, actively collaborating with fundraising efforts. Beyond these tasks, the Konecta team helped foster a positive and collaborative environment through giveaways and internal activities that took place throughout the day.

"Our participation in UNICEF's Un Sol para los Chicos is much more than a unique act of solidarity – it is a clear expression of our long-term commitment to children and to building a more equitable future, Every Konecta volunteer who dedicates their time on this day becomes a true agent of change, proving that by working together we can make a real difference and amplify our impact within the community."

Romina Marceletti, CPO at Konecta Southern Cone

“Thanks to the KONECTA Team for joining once again Un Sol para los Chicos in 2025 with renewed enthusiasm and commitment to collaborate in the achievement of fundraising results for children.”

Martín Giménez Rébora, Resource Mobilization Manager, UNICEF Argentina

2024 + 2025 Results and Impact

In 2024, 50 volunteers participated in the event, handling over 1,700 calls from potential donors. This year, 80 volunteers joined the initiative, making more than 36,000 outbound calls to former donors, which doubled the number of calls managed the previous year. This helped raise $1,945,653,333, as reported by UNICEF Argentina.
