Konecta has taken a decisive step forward on its journey to Net Zero 2040. AENOR, one of the world’s most respected certification bodies, has successfully verified our group carbon footprint data for 2023 and 2024, confirming the strength and accuracy of our internal processes. This milestone reinforces our clients’ trust and strengthens our long-term commitment to transparency and sustainability.
Validating the accuracy of emissions data is a crucial step to ensure that numbers reflect reality.
For Konecta, this meant coordinating a massive data effort across 26 countries, aligning methodologies, and ensuring rigorous internal controls. People were at the heart of this achievement: every country team contributed, from data collection to project coordination and operational execution, making this milestone a truly collective success. The goal was clear: avoid any form of greenwashing and deliver trustworthy, traceable climate reporting.
By securing this external verification, we are establishing an annual global practice starting this year. This initiative further strengthens transparency across the Group, building on the rigorous verification processes already in place in several countries.

These numbers reflect concrete decisions, investments, and coordinated work across teams and geographies.
“This verification reflects who we are: a company that acts with integrity and wants to play an active role in building a sustainable future. The data is solid, the progress is visible, and our ambition is long-term.”
Anabel García Aganzo, Global Head of Climate Change, Risks & Compliance
People are at the core of this achievement. Every country team contributed, from data collection to project coordination and operational execution, making this milestone a truly collective success.
Aenor’s verification is not an endpoint; it marks the beginning of a new phase. Konecta will continue to reduce emissions, expand renewable energy use, and invest in technologies, including AI, to accelerate efficiency. With annual verification, clear data, and measurable commitments, we choose a sustainability path that is responsible, credible, and future-ready.
The future we’re building is transparent, ambitious, and real. And we’re already making it happen.
