Building a sustainable and resilient supply chain is becoming a key priority for companies facing increasing ESG requirements and regulatory pressure. Through its participation in the United Nations Global Compact’s Sustainable Suppliers program, Konecta is supporting the transition of 100 global suppliers toward more responsible and transparent practices.
The UN Global Compact Sustainable Suppliers initiative (part of the broader UN Global Compact framework) is a global training program designed to help suppliers, particularly SMEs, align with international sustainability standards. It provides practical guidance to translate ESG commitments into operational actions across the value chain.
At the core of the program is a structured six month training journey running from March to September 2026. It enables suppliers to align with the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, covering human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and anti corruption.
For clients and partners, this means working with a supply ecosystem that is progressively better equipped to meet global ESG expectations, reduce risks, and ensure consistent service quality across markets.
The 100 participating suppliers reflect a diverse international footprint across Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, USA, France, and Peru.
The program focuses on practical challenges that directly impact business performance and sustainability:
Upon completion, participating suppliers and members receive official recognition from the UN Global Compact, strengthening their ability to meet client expectations in an increasingly sustainability driven market.
As regulations such as the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) continue to evolve, companies are expected to ensure greater transparency and accountability across their supply chains.
Programs like Sustainable Suppliers help build more resilient, compliant, and future-ready ecosystems, where partners share common standards and capabilities.
By supporting supplier development at scale, this initiative contributes to more sustainable operations, stronger partnerships, and long term value creation across the entire value chain.
