As part of its strong commitment to a more sustainable future, Konecta in Argentina has officially certified its organizational carbon footprint calculation.
This certification was granted by the Carbon Footprint Registry of the Province of Córdoba, a public program led by the Secretariat for Climate Change of the Ministry of Environment and Circular Economy. This achievement not only recognizes Konecta’s strong environmental management, but also serves as a key tool for fostering a more conscious organizational culture aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Carbon Footprint Registry of the Province of Córdoba promotes the measurement, reduction, and management of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in public and private organizations.This public program measures organizational emissions across the three scopes defined by the GHG Protocol:
By following ISO 14064-1 standards, the registry ensures traceability, technical rigor, and international comparability of the calculations. This is an essential step towards developing policies to mitigate and offset GHG emissions, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainability and the protection of natural resources and biodiversity in the province.

Thanks to its continuous carbon footprint monitoring, Konecta in Argentina has achieved a remarkable reduction in annual carbon dioxide emissions—from 7,800 to 1,790 tonnes. The official certification of this process by the Secretariat for Climate Change will strengthen the technical quality of the calculation and incorporate new elements into its environmental management efforts.
